Marriage Requirements for Las Vegas weddings The laws of Nevada cooperate by not requiring blood tests or a waiting period to get a marriage license for Las Vegas weddings, and the courthouse is open seven days a week. Nevada is the only state that makes it this easy to get married. Technical notes about Las Vegas weddings: ý The bride and groom must both appear in person at the Marriage License Bureau to qualify for licenses for Las Vegas weddings. ý People aged 16-17 must show they have consent of their parent or guardian for Las Vegas weddings, either in person or in writing and notarized. People younger than 16 must also have authorization from a Nevada District Court. ý One or more witnesses must be present at Las Vegas weddings other than the person performing the ceremony at the wedding. ý Any pending divorce must be final in the state in which it was granted prior to Las Vegas weddings.
