Henderson offers not just great neighbourhoods but great recreation too. Henderson has over 40 parks that provide more recreational facilities than any other community in southern Nevada per person. The agency overlooking these parks has won several awards for National Park and Recreation Association for their excellence in maintenance. If you are bird lover then the Henderson bird viewing preserve, which is home to over 200 species of birds, can be an ideal getaway for you.

The city also boasts of over 11 miles of walking trails, a number of outdoor swimming pools, 50 tennis courts, 42 baseball fields and 3 indoor swimming pools. You will always find something to do in Henderson.

Another major attraction of Henderson is the several excellent public and semi-private golf courses. You could also go Water skiing, fishing, camping, jet skiing, hiking, sailing and scuba diving Lake Mead, just about a mile away from this beautiful city.

Henderson also hosts several cultural events and concerts throughout the year.
