Fourth of July, a special Day in Summerlin's calendar.
Parades, fireworks and concerts mark the Fourth of July celebrations at Summerlin every year. The Howard Hughes Corporation, developers of the Summerlin master planned community, sponsors a host of events for the benefit of Summerlin's residents all year around. The most popular among these being the Independence Day parade, sports tournaments and concerts.
Summerlin has been consistently ranked as one of the country's best-selling master-planned community for the last 10 years, according to independent surveys. It borders the western edge of the Las Vegas Valley. More than 100 neighborhood parks, 100 miles of trails, temples, churches, shopping centers, medical facilities, cultural facilities, business parks.
The Independence Day parade will include floats; marching bands; decorated cars, boats and trucks; and community groups that will travel along flag-lined streets. The parade which will commence at Hillpointe Road and Hills Center Drive in The Trails village will travel southwards towards the Village Center Circle roundabout before heading west on Trailwood Drive. It ends at Trailwood and Spring Gate Lane.
